It’s all open?

The Union Station side is fully open now. CIBC still blocks off the escalators down but it looks like it could open tomorrow. There were some tiles being re-laid, there's a flurry of workers correcting minor deficiencies and the main floor was fully cleaned up.

The hoarding between the lobby and the teamway was still up tonight but that could be taken down in a couple of hours tonight or tomorrow morning.

Tonight, I spoke to one of the security guards and he said tenants are taking possession in the building.View attachment 731403

That makes sense. I've been seeing a lot of people going in and out. I think we may see this open as early as tomorrow, or if not within the next week for sure.

There'll be some things being worked on in the coming weeks. The steps on the right aren't done for some reason.

And the staircase up The Park as seen in @rdaner's pics also looked to be behind.

The sculpture in the plaza is nowhere to be seen. Nothing has been announced, no documentation of the commission can be found anywhere, but there's a pedestal built into the plaza awaiting a sculpture of some sort. I can't imagine it'll be left like that with pylons covering up the trip hazard.

According to the city of Toronto's Public Art program for 141 Bay St. there'll be an art piece in the staircase.

As well as the two public art sites described in this plan, there is a third site located in the

exterior, public staircase connecting the walkway, north of 141 Bay to the POPS. This art

site has been allocated to a tenant sponsored public art programme and will run

independently to the scope of this plan.

Given that it's outside the scope of the Public Art program, it's not known what it'll be.

I have an inkling that Richard Serra, now deceased, might have had something to do with the Corten Steel in the stairs and the sculpture in the rendering on Bay Street.

Swung by the area today, the teamway entrance is still closed but people are hard at work getting it done.

I know this tower really isn’t much different from the south tower, but I’m blown away by that lobby

Just a quick visit. No dogs or maybe only tenants allowed. So we left without question.

Ground floor looking west to Yonge.

Looking down over the mezzanine level was cool. I didn’t want to get a picture of the workers or security below at the glass edge.

Such a nice touch saving and cleaning up this wall.

Wow! There were no exaggerations about the grand scale of that lobby, it is MASSIVE.

The path from lobby to the Yonge st bridge is very straightforward, no zig zagging or looping around. Relevant photo – opposing direction from previous lobby photo, escalator faces due east.

At the other end, here is the entrance to the train platform immediately next to the Bay st bridge and escalators:

This only stood out to me because I could hear the loco right behind the glass.
