Toronto Love Park | 3m | 1s | City of Toronto | CCxA

This is so embarrassing. It makes our city look so damn shabby.
As does the fact that the City did not manage to paint the Berczy Park dogs over the winter. They will either remove them in 'fountain season' or wait until next year to give them a well-deserved coat of paint. Parks are really VERY poor at organising and then managing projects. (Don't get me started on the Lower Don work...)

1 out of 2 look great.
The best start to the season.

I don't know if they did this over the winter..............but just a reminder:

In point of fact........you're suppose to trim those every winter to promote Wisteria bud and flowering growth......... of course, no one in horticulture appears to have been assigned that task.

^^ taken from post 1182 in this thread.

***

Chase the Councillor or the park supervisor to make sure the Wisteria are being pruned properly.

Let me add the BIA to that list, the Waterfront BIA is heavily involved in this park, and I think would be responsive to knowing that something people value about it needs 2-3 hours of maintenance once to twice a year.

I included the how-to videos in my post here:

Just in case Parks doesn't know how, LOL

If things don't improve by the next winter, this may just require some vigilante gardening.
