sucks for north facing QueenChurch buyers if it gets approved.
Wind studies are part of the initial proposal... but I'm not sure how much is being taken into consideration with the "move the entire tower south by 9m" "solution" — whether wind or other livability factors. Moving the building south by 9 m leaves a 1m setback from the property line. QueenChurch to the immediate south has a 10m setback. That wouldn't be much of a solution for those in this tower facing QueenChurch, or the QueenChurch residents facing north. Why allow two buildings only 11 metres from each other? Privacy concerns are totally "out the window" in such cases, and while views are not protected in this city, access to natural light should come into consideration here. It comes down to this: if the flightpath is taking chunks out of buildable space... then maybe that buildable space should simply be eliminated from zoning permissions if livability factors are compromised to too great a degree.Just walked down church between Dundas and Queen and the wind is wild. I certainly hope they considered the dynamics of condo enhanced wind direction![]()
If it weren't for how well their flagship project is currently going I would agree with you but if that project is any indication somebody at Pemberton might actually be starting to careBig NO to any pemberton projects.
