Isn't this one of the last large plots in Burlington available for industrial/commercial use?
I think I recall it being mentioned during the great Hamilton stadium location debate in 2010. And perhaps re: Andlauer's arena play that came later.

Burlington would have to secure an OHL team for that arena to make sense. Not sure that is going to happen, and the OHL has had a tough time in the GTA save for the Oshawa Generals.

Yes. The idea was to move the Bulldogs there when they were still in Hamilton but looking for a new temporary or permanent home... finding one in Brantford seems to have worked out, though building a new arena there is likely to take the shine off the apple.

Yes, I believe a new arena has been approved in Brantford and although Burlington is twice the size, I think the Bulldogs will do better staying in Brantford. I raised my family in Burlington and would have loved an OHL team back 15 years ago, but that ship has sailed for me.
