President Donald Trump's United States of America

I am sure that's a benefit with some of those countries, but that's not what Hegsbreath is saying here:

/bleah
Consider that Trump and Hegseth might have different goals--plundering vs Rapturing w/a dash of video-game cosplay.

Saw that and that was absolutely nuts to watch.... ICE is out of control, and it's insane that someone was arrested just for stating their opinion... Trump and MAGA said they were all for free speech, but now we see their true colours now that the free speech is against them....
I also saw that he is being detained but his family and lawyer don’t know where

Update: he has now been reunited with his family

I saw that, but not what went on before. I hate to be the contrarian but 'First Amendment Rights", just like our Charter Sec 2 rights, are not absolute. You can't highjack a council meeting, Senate meeting or school board meeting with impunity, just like you can't yell 'fire' in a crowed room or 'bomb' on an aircraft. Did he calmly express his opinion during a period where input was sought? Dunno. I suspect US Senate hearing rooms have posted rules.

Er...does he wear that cap while taking a shower now?

Trump continues his attacks on the U.K. after their initial reluctance to allow use of their military bases to support the strikes on Iran.

I suspect this is what will take down Trump.

Bloomberg reporting an absolutely massive jump in oil prices overnight.

Crude oil jumped about 20% just after Monday’s open, with both WTI and Brent trading above $107/barrel now. That’s sent US equity index futures down more than 1.5% and sets up Asia’s markets for another brutal start to the week. In particular, South Korea’s volatile stocks could be headed for fresh, deep declines.

This is gold for Starmer's election chances. As Poilievre knows, no one hoping for electoral success wants to be positively associated with Trump.
