I'd be ok with the park disappearing if Princess Royal Dr. were completely closed to cars and turned into an urban square from Duke of York to Confederation in exchange.
 
Its really a shame they need to tear up a really well-loved park and a long-time Mississauga landmark building, when there’s literally acres of parking lots right next door. I understand it’s cause it’s city-owned land and that’s what they have to work with, but i mean it just feels crazy to me that all the parking stays and the nice greenspace goes.

Seconding this, another obvious choice for pedestrianization to me is the section of Square One Drive in front of the bus terminal.

yes exactly! perfect street to be pedestrianized (and I even mistakenly thought it was on first glance of the renderings). widening it for bigger sidewalks is the worse move if they want to actually have a more urban feel

The vision has the new performing arts centre take up the east half of Community Common park. It also has the LRT running along Living Arts Drive with a stop nearby.
