To be fair, it took them what? more than a year? to change the name of Science Centre Station after announcing plans to move it. With this government, I wouldn't ascribe inactivity as anything with regards to Ford's OPC. Transparency isn't in their wheelhouse.

When I think of all the developers that will benefits with the current alignment, a further reason why I don't see diyg changing it. I think the alignment is safe. But yes, you have a valid point.
