Crews are out working on the slip and the same piping being used at Quayside, along Small Street, has been installed here as well...

Waterfront Toronto has a terrible track record of this. Quayside has become Canary Landing. This bridge not only lost it's lookout points but they made it less wide so when people stop on the bridge inevitably to take pictures and look, it's going to be cramped and bikes are going to run into pedestrians. Terrible decision making to save a few bucks for something that should be built to last and support Toronto for decades to come.
Well the good news is- folks are really chill about sharing spaces with bikes, so there should never be any problems.

The lookouts are gone but I've dug into the details and the bridge deck is 4 metres wide which looks to be similar to what it was in the competition. More than enough room for people to pass others. A standard city sidewalk is 2 metres wide.
