Toronto East Harbour GO & Ontario Line Station | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx | HDR

pretty wild that this might end up being the least visually interesting above-ground station on the entire line.
Is there any indication that the rest of the stations won’t get the same treatment? Are what is shown in the other stations’ renders confirmed to be the final result?

How is a person supposed to transfer between a Broadview streetcar and East Harbour station without crossing active car and bike lanes on foot?

The initial renders had some gorgeous ideas with soaring staircases and so forth, but the more recent renders aren't very clear on this point. They show some station doors facing north but that seems odd - shouldn't the streetcars stop under the capacious bridge and allow entry from Broadview, like the Bay and York teamways at Union?

The East Harbour site is a blank slate. Anything is possible. Another sub-par streetcar design would be so unfortunate.

I believe the design contract for stations is split into South (Downtown), East Harbour, North, and Elevated. Each section will have its own treatment but is expected to follow the design concept work that was done by HDR. As far as I can tell, East Harbour will be the worst in terms of design quality. Hatch is doing the architectural work here, and they are a pretty substandard shop. Architecture49 is doing the elevated sections which look much better. I don't know which firms are doing the design work for the South and North sections.

People have given the Spadina Extension so much sh*t for being "over-designed" so here you go, back to utilitarian stations. No nice things for you.

Forgive my ignorance but is there any plan to build atop this? (i,e. will the station be integrated into a larger building)?

Earlier docs would suggest otherwise, but the plain, windowless wall on the north makes me think something will be built flush to it.

Below is what was presented in 2022. It shows a paved plaza, surface parking (🤢) and the existing auto shop. Here’s hoping something more urban is in the works.

^...er..this is weird, all the buildings appear to have already been removed here. What on earth are they going on about?

Is this supposed to be the main entrance?
No, it's an entrance off Eastern Ave to a corridor that'll take westwards into the main Line 3 station, which sits adjacent to the Broadview extension.

To the left in this view there's also a small station area under the bridges for GO Trains, with the main Go station area also beside Broadview extension.
