President Donald Trump's United States of America

They'll never do that. The UN being in New York is advantageous in many ways. Not least of which is the massive intelligence collection that happens.

But also, the US is now treating the UN with exactly the same contempt as say Russia and China. Remember when Saudi Arabia was on the Human Rights Committee? So now the US simply doesn't want to bother with the charade. The good thing here is that if you dislike the US, you should see this as an opportunity for all these organizations to be a lot more effective, unencumbered by American obstructionism.

There's also this. A lot of countries love talking about how important the UN is, until it's time to pay up. The Chinese have stepped up recently in no small part because they realize that if the UN collapses, they actually lose more than the US. This funding is also why the UN won't be leaving New York anytime soon.
Well, the UN still has a default location in Geneva. But also, remember who's in charge of the US here. *They* may not opt to leave NYC of their own volition; however, if they find a horse's head in their bed, well then...

Well, I don't think they run polls on completely unrealistic scenarios and wishful thinking. But here is a fresh Gallup poll from less than a month ago that is the closest thing to the question you are looking to answer, and you might be surprised by the responses:

So, to this day Americans think that Biden will go down in history as one of the worst presidents, almost as bad as Nixon and a lot worse than George W Bush. As for Trump? Meh, but not nearly as bad in their opinion.

DNC has gone out of their way to destroy every single progressive candidate at every primary that ever happened. Why would the party beholden to corporate interests, paid for and run by corporate money, why would they ever do something as counter-productive to their donors as running a progressive candidate? And if you think that they actually want to do the right thing or they actually want to win the elections, you are sorely mistaken. Winning elections is not their goal. Representing their base is not their goal. Doing the right thing is not their goal. Their goal is to collect enough donor paychecks. Progressive candidates get in the way of doing that.
And for the record, I also wish they ran a true progressive candidate and not a corporate shill masquerading as a once-progressive-now-turned-centrist, like Harris. But alas, for the reasons outlined above, that's not going to happen.
I think it was shortly after the death of Pierre Trudeau that polls showed Trudeau as the best PM ever and also as the worst PM ever. I suspect a similar result for Trump and his legacy.

Donald Trump has ordered his special forces commanders to draw up a plan for the invasion of Greenland - but is being resisted by senior military figures, The Mail on Sunday has learned.

Sources say that the policy 'hawks' around the US President, led by political adviser Stephen Miller, have been so emboldened by the success of the operation to capture Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro that they want to move quickly to seize the island before Russia or China makes a move.

British diplomats believe that Trump is also motivated by a desire to distract American voters from the performance of the US economy before the mid-term elections later this year, after which he could lose control of Congress to the Democrats.

But such a dramatic move would put him at odds with Sir Keir Starmer and would effectively lead to the collapse of Nato.

According to the sources, the President has asked the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) to prepare the invasion plan, but it is being resisted by the joint chiefs of staff on the grounds that it would be illegal - and would not be supported by Congress.

One source said: 'They have tried to distract Trump by talking about less controversial measures, such as intercepting Russian 'ghost' ships - a clandestine network of hundreds of vessels operated by Moscow to evade Western sanctions - or launching a strike on Iran.'

Diplomats have war-gamed what they describe as an 'escalatory scenario' under which Trump uses force or 'political coercion' to sever Greenland's links to Denmark.

One diplomatic cable describes the 'worst-case' scenario as leading to 'the destruction of Nato from the inside'.

It adds: 'Some European officials suspect this is the real aim of the hardline MAGA faction around Trump. Since Congress would not allow Trump to exit Nato, occupying Greenland could force the Europeans to abandon Nato. If Trump wants to end Nato, this might be the most convenient way to do it.'

Under the 'Compromise Scenario', Denmark would agree to give Trump full military access to Greenland and deny access to Russia and China.

Although America already has free access to the island, it would be put on a legal basis.

The cable says: 'For domestic political reasons, Trump can start with an escalatory scenario which shifts to a compromise scenario.

'European officials fear that, for Trump, the window of opportunity before the mid-terms is closing in the summer, therefore action is expected sooner rather than later. The Nato summit on July 7 seems like the natural timing for a compromise deal'.

It concludes: 'The current concerns [about an invasion] are driven by the most extreme views coming from Stephen Miller. The UK's positioning will be key - whether it sticks closely with European allies or breaks ranks [to sanction Trump's approach].'

A diplomatic source said: 'The generals think Trump's Greenland plan is crazy and illegal. So they are trying to deflect him with other major military operations. They say it's like dealing with a five-year-old'.

All that Trump wants is "peace".

A little piece of Venezuela. A little piece of Columbia. A little piece of Greenland. A little piece of Canada...
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Mambo No. 5!

A little bit of Mexico in my hand
A little bit of Panama for the land
A little bit of Greenland in the sun
A little bit of Canada, now let's have fun!

A little bit of Caracas by my side
A little bit of Bogota, let’s take a ride
A little bit of Nuuk is all I need
A little bit of Ottawa, yes indeed!

If Trump seizes Greenland without Congressional approval, one would hope he would be impeached and removed. If not, the whole lot of Congress are traitors to the US.

Unfortunately, much of the GOP is drinking the Kool-Aid.

There was a clip on CNN where GOP representatives and senators were praising Trumps handling of Venezuela. They also suggested he was on the right track with Greenland.

If anything it would take an epic GOP defeat in the mid-terms for Trump to be impeached.

The world is hurdling towards WW3 with no one at the wheel courageous enough to tap on the brakes.

Won't be WWIII. But the end of post-Cold War Pax Americana as we know it. Especially if Trump isn't impeached and removed after invading Greenland.

It's also bizarre that he thinks this will distract from the economy. What does he think happens to markets the day after he invades? The EU was already going to the mat with Big Tech. They will be far less restrained if the US is actually an adversary.

Ghouls like Miller need to be punished when all this is over.

...no, they'll just send him a strongly worded letter.
