Based on the renders most of them won’t glow but some will.

Will the glass cubes glow through with light from inside at night or are they covering over concrete

They had really better glow, otherwise the warehouse look (which is a bit overdone) will simply overpower the whole thing. Of course, I still live in hopes/expectations of the plants which will greatly soften it up but ......

It’s the supply issue, as the complicated panels are fabricated and shipped from South Korea in batches of crates at a time. The panels are still in production so it seems it’s like stop and go progress as shipment arrives on-site.
Looks like the first residential level of cladding on the south side is pretty much done.

Reversal of Fortune

As of yesterday, Monday January 12 - there had been no visible cladding activity since December 22 - starting to wonder if the project was being hit with another delay like the previous December / January timeframe - and then the cladding crew showed up today, and they have been killing it.

First photos show the status as of December 22 through to January 12. Level 5 cladding had been installed on four facade sections on the south side of the building. The second set of photos is from 11:10 this morning, with the third set being from 2:30 this afternoon, with a number of sections already being completed today.

A final photo is of the hoarding around the former Early Mercy building, which is now being used as storage and delivery staging for the King Toronto project.

December 22: Work was ongoing, with three more pieces installed prior to the end of the day and the start of the Christmas break.

How things stood for the entire Christmas and New Year's period, up through yesterday (Monday, January 12) evening:

Obviously, a good number of sections installed and the day was not over - the crew was still working as of 4:05 (the tower crane is visible from our place, and is holding the cladding section currently being installed.

Meanwhile, on King Street, Allied building images were installed on the hoarding around the former Early Mercy building earlier today.
