2022/25 Russian-Ukrainian War

What do you think will happen if we put missles in Ukraine,

Absolutely nothing. Ukrainian drones are literally hitting Moscow. Where's the mushroom cloud over Kyiv? What's he going to do? Escalate to nuclear war that destroys Ruzzia too? Hell, every rich Ruzzian keeps their kids, wives and mistress in the very European cities they talk about nuking.

You seem to forget that the Brits and the French have enough nukes to wipe out everything in Ruzzia that actually matters several times over. And unlike Putin's cronies, they actually make sure theirs works.

I'll say this. It has never been about NATO. It's always been about the EU. Ruzzia faces economic isolation with it's entire former European sphere joining the EU. Putin didn't flinch when Sweden and Finland joined NATO, doubled the NATO border with Russia, and turned the Baltic Sea into a NATO Lake. But Ukraine starts talking about joining the EU and they get a full invasion.

Today he comes for Ukraine. Tomorrow, he demands the Baltics and Scandiaa quit NATO and the EU or risk nukes. You'll throw them under the bus too?

I sincerely wish Hungary wasn't in NATO and the EU. I bet you'd have a very different opinion if your motherland wasn't protected.

I actually have family in the Hungarian Armed Forces and I am proud of the work they do.

Just wait until April when they have their elections, there is a growing desire for change and recent polls indicate Orban will be ousted. Trust me, I want that buffoon gone more than anyone.

Why? You don't seem to have much of an opinion difference than Orban. Though, you're a lot more gullible. I'm going to bet that Viktor isn't being chicken little about Ruzzian nukes.

Also, just a reminder. This conversation started with. "We should abandon Ukraine cause we have poor people here."

And in a handful of posts we've moved on to "Russia will nuke us all and we'll have WWIII."

Anything to push the Putin POV.

Hungary is much better off being closer to the EU than it is to Russia.

I have been going there since 1996 and I have seen both sides of the spectrum. I saw when it was pullng itself out of Communism, when it joined the EU and now when that jackass ruined it.

They were doing much better in the 90s and early 2000s when they joined NATO and the EU. They were getting closer to Europe and truly becoming integrated.

Unfortunately, the PM was a complete tool and got caught on tape lying in 2008. That scandal damn near led to the government being forcibly overthrown by protestors who were seconds away from breaking down the doors of the parliament building.

When that whole situation happened, the socialist opposition collapsed and Orban picked up the pieces. He then jury rigged the system to keep winning.

I personally detest Orban and would love to see a return to the left leaning politics from years ago.

The selfishness is truly amazing to behold. You can recognize the corruption and damage it did to Hungary. But you would happily throw Ukraine under the bus to the same. Disgusting.

I stand by what I said. Hungarians, Slovaks and Czechs deserve the very same fate they would wish on Ukrainians.

The populations of those 3 nations should be slaughtered because their politicians don't support Ukraine? How does thinking this make you a better person than Putin? Once you start holding regular people accountable for every wrong thing their leadership does or thinks, there is no end to the atrocities you can justify.

Signed, a Slovak who does NOT support Russia

Read what I said carefully. They should get the exact same protection, they think Ukraine should get. They seem to have all forgotten why their countries were clamouring to get into the EU and NATO in the 90s. As seen by Richard's posts here. Maybe they need a reminder.

Russia has suffered stunning geopolitical defeats in the first week of January with Maduro capture followed by US Navy SEALs storming and capturing a Russian shadow fleet oil tanker as Russian Navy stood idly by and did nothing. And to add insult to injury, now Iran is on the brink of collapse.

Not surprisingly, Putin wants to remind the world about how great and powerful Mother Russia is (his opinion, not mine).

So here comes the nuclear saber rattling:

What you are seeing is the Ukrainian city of Lviv being "bombed" by an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) "Oreshnik". Each one of the streaks is a Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) falling from space at 13,000 km/h. Each one of those MIRVs could have been a nuclear warhead, released from a single ballistic missile. These were clearly not nuclear. In fact, there are no explosions whatsoever, so these were dummy concrete warheads usually used for testing.

Don't let the media coverage of this event scare you into thinking we are on the brink of a nuclear war. This is simply a sad man from Kremlin with a tiny penis showing off his big rocket. Nothing more. He's done it before. And when he has no other cards to play, he'll do it again. Nuclear scaremongering has always been Russia's last resort argument, but there's never anything to it.
