Demolition for Phase 2, the ~20 floor east building, is well underway.

So Phase 2 connects to Phase 1 - through a shared podium right? Or it was by previous design documents. Does that mean all those precast panels will just be disposed of? Seems like they could've used a cheaper knockout panel on this side, understanding this is only an interim condition.
I've been wondering if they'll reuse the affected panels on the new building, cus yeah otherwise it seems like a wasteSo Phase 2 connects to Phase 1 - through a shared podium right? An enormous shame on U of T that they’re doing no meaningful material recovery from this building.
They looked pretty custom to each location. But who knows.I've been wondering if they'll reuse the affected panels on the new building, cus yeah otherwise it seems like a waste
Think this breaks ground in the next 5 years?
It was supposed to be a Life Sci hub similar to MaRS
... but with the sector downturn interested to see if they'll pivot to another academic building.
What downturn? There's a shortage of wet lab space in the City which will be central to phase 2. A real focus on regenerative medicine. That's still the plan.
Is there? I thought I had heard that with the reduction of capital flowing to PE & VC that LS rents were reduced and vacancy was increasing. But I could be wrong. NL you probably have an inside-track.
