Toronto 19 Bloor West | 319.4m | 99s | Reserve Properties | Arcadis

I received an email from our property manager today about this project.
“Dear residents,
We would like to provide an update on the development at 15-19 Bloor St. W. The Ontario Land Tribunal has closed the file on this development due to a lengthy time of inactivity. For now, at least, this development will not proceed.
Below, please find below the decision issued by the Tribunal.

This letter is to advise that the Ontario Land Tribunal (the “Tribunal”) is placing this case into a closed file status.
The Ontario Land Tribunal issued its interim decision and order on November 28, 2024,in respect of the above noted appeal(s). The Tribunal withheld its final order to dispose of the appeal(s), pending the completion of certain conditions or the finalization of certain planning instruments. The Tribunal has not received confirmation from any of the parties that these outstanding items have been completed or satisfied so that a final order may issue.

Given the lengthy inactivity in this case since the issuance of the interim decision, the case will be placed into a closed file status. The Tribunal will not be continuing to request updates from the parties on efforts to fulfill the outstanding conditions to its order given the inactive status of this case. The Tribunal remains available to provide its services once the parties are prepared to proceed.

The parties are advised to contact the Tribunal once the terms of its interim order have been met to request the re-opening of this file. A request to re-open the file should be directed to the Tribunal Registrar and sent to the Case Coordinator/Planner, along with a copy of the interim decision and order and the proposed final form of any planning
instruments.

The Case Coordinator/Planner will re-open the file after they are advised that the terms of the interim order are satisfied. Further direction from the Case Coordinator/Planner may be provided to the parties on next steps upon the re-opening of a file. The Case Coordinator/Planner will also re-open this closed file at the request of a party who seeks the assistance of the Tribunal should there be difficulties that arise in the implementation of the interim decision and order that require direction and disposition before the final order in this case may issue.
If the Parties require any further assistance from the Tribunal or have updates to share,

please contact the Case Coordinator/Planner assigned to this case, Laiba Azhar at

Laiba.Azhar@ontario.ca

A reminder that any correspondence with the Tribunal should be copied to all other parties. Thank you.

Yours truly,

Laiba Azhar

Case Coordinator/Planner”

A rental with half of its proportions would likely do better here... /shrug

Hmmmm. Perfect timing for Tridel sales to re-start.

Edit Dec 5
Not great timing for Tridel sales.

I've been hoping for a redesign on this one especially now that it will be taller than One Bloor West and be the local height peak. We really could use a better design here. Or put a spire on it or something. The current design is so boring and uninspired for its height.
