They won’t see the red paint anyways in this weather. Especially if they can tell that the roadway drops a foot with tracks on top.

Were bollards at the intersections ever considered as a way to take away the angle and slow down drivers (like in the video here) to give them a moment to realize their confusion?

Just use the LRV and push it out of the way... And when the driver complains, suspend their license.

Just wait until a car hits one of those video screens that drivers use to position the LRVs. That's when the real fun will begin with mass delays to operations.
Good thing Metrolinx thought about that while designing the line, oh wait....

I would have thought the whole driving into oncoming traffic would have been a clue.
It's really a mystery how some people got a licence in the first place

I doubt the train in the distance was there at that point. It's not like there would have been cars in that lane. It's pretty normal to turn into the lane next to cars. And difficult to see the paint markings in the rain. I could see someone who didn't drive there regularly making this mistake. I'm surprised it didn't happen years ago.
There's zero signage to alert drivers on Warden what's happening. Not even a no-entry sign. And very little in terms of paint markings, even before they've rubbed off.
Did they even break the law, with no signage to indicate they shouldn't have driven there? It's certainly pretty normal in Toronto to be driving down streetcar tracks.

We need a system to revoke people’s licence. They can reapply for a new one starting at G1 in 3 years. People caught driving without a licence or suspended ones should face jail time or a hefty fine. But nope, let’s keep them on the roads till someone is killed.

What a joke! If I recall correctly, the 30 day revenue service demonstration should have been completed by now after accounting for the pause last month assuming it didn't cause the demo to be reset to zero.

Does the new "$500.00" fine for blocking electric rail vehicles apply in this case? "$500.00" for each light rail vehicle in the train? Or only to streetcars?
