Those 6 LRVs that are in the yard are there as there is no room inside for them as it is full of other LRVs and no numbers for them.

How Many intersections will see tracks rebuilt??? Courtneypark intersection that supposed to be done by November 4th is currently one of 5 that has to be done that is known at this time,

Topflight intersection is supposed to be open on October 15. Rails are 100% installed as well being splice with more to take place. All splicing should be done next week that concrete nay start to take place,

The OMSF guideway still being built with part of the south end tracks encased ib xoncrete, No idea what still has to be done for the east-west section.

Part of the curb is poured for the westbound ramp to the 407 on the northside of the bridge. as well betwwen it and the off ramp. Paving still to be done for the north end except between the two ramps. More concrete curb work still has to be done for Hurontario and the eastbound ramp, otherwise the northbound lanes can open early October.

Fail to check Derry Station work and did not look at Brampton area at all.

There is a large slab area south od Derry with fencing around it that you no isea what is taking place going north. Going south you can see concrete removed from the encased northbound track.

Queensway platform is formed and ready for concrete pour.

Aeron crew working on wiring for a pole that may have cable going underground north of the Morth Service Rd and fail to stop on my way back from Port Credit.

All the steel mats in place for the southbound track south of Fairview. Look like a 2 man crew doing something between CP ans Fairview and were sitting on the rails as I drove by.

Forming and pouring of the WYE base is taking place as you can see the formwok from Hurontario as well the eastbound off ramp to Hurontario.

Very large hole on the north side where the 403 ramp will connect to Hurontario qs well part of the area where the fome bkocks are to go for the ramp.

My plan for today was to do some video shooting of a few areas as well the whole corridor but the new camera either has an issue or all 3 batteries for it were dead considering I have yet to use the spare batteries that were charge over a week ago. It kill the video shooting and try using the Mark II with poor luck as it refused to stay in fouces. Best to do the video shooting is around 8 am on Sunday when traffic is light and also when the sunrise is happening these days.

You can see the poles that need to be removed before roadwork and curbing can take place for the northbound lane. It been this way since 2023.

New chamber vaults being installed with guideway wall to be rebuilt between Britannia and the eastbound 401 off ramp.

Milling of concrete on both sides of each rail that will be remove next and reinstall again that is 5mm+ out of gauge for Courtneypark Intersection and on of 5 currently to be done

All rails in place for Topflight Intersection and being splice

New northbound lanes to the 407 bridge ready to be open with curb work still to be done for the 407 eastbound on ramp

Westbound 407 Ramp waiting paving and rest of the curb work on Hurontario cannot be done until current ramps is close

5mm? Honestly... fair. You don't even need precision equipment to check that. A tape measure from Home Depot is enough if you know how to use it. That's unacceptably out of spec for rails, in my unprofessional opinion.

Mobllinx was to bring over a crew from Europe to installed the tracks and teach locals how to do it. I have no idea if that happen as plan other than seeing a crew doing the work not like PNR.

I do know BOTT was doing the guideway work up to the end of 2024 that included encasing the ties for the open rail sections and fully encased the tracks at intersections, stations platform including the future extension was to go, at future stations loxtions as well a few pad areas. They used the same brackets to hold the rail in place like PNR is doing. Don't recalled if alignment was done the same way as to what PNR is doing.

The one issue being miss or over looked is Alstom bogges as they are not design for NA standards and they are not prepared to redesign them that has being causing Ottawa problems. The first car for the line went to Kingston to deal with Ottawa cars issues since they are the same car we are getting. After many months of investigation of the problem, Alstom stop the investigation and not prepared to make changes that I know.

I have no knowledge if the rail is from Europe which is most likey since it was cheaper to buy it there than here where the head profile is slightly different from NA rail. I expect Alstom will not honoured the warranty of the cars unless the rails meets their standards for thier cars that ML has taken upon themselves to cover the cost of fixing the gauge issue.

Eglinton had very little issues with the surface tacks unlike Hurontario. Rails had to be mill in places and don't recalled seeing rail being fix but wasn't out there that often that I may have miss some work. Have to rely on what other people were seeing.

Since Finch is using the Netherlands rail standars where rails were installed different than Hurontario, there were a lot less issues with gauge issue there. I did noticed a few tents over the tacks in various locations after the tracks were installed and no knowledge what was taking place under the tents bur cars were running in the east while the west was being built a lot sooner than Hurontario.

Testing was to started in Feb 2023 on the testbed to Matheson and here we are September 30 2025 with not all the trackwork done to Matheson or Eglinton the new testbed or any overhead system in place. Been over two years for the Hwy 401overpass trackwork that still not done.

Was at City Hall today and told Metrolinx may not appear before council on Nov 5 now. ML wants to appear before Regional council first and then before Bramton before Mississauga with no dates known now.

Took me 20 minutes to drive from Eglinton to the 403 due to the single lane south of Kingsbridge to the 403

Concrete was being pour by a sump pumper for the northbound track as I drove by the area, Since the tracks will be open here, concrete pour was to anchor the ties info position.

City Centre
Looking at the model for MCC, they have made a few updates for the area. City Center now showb being extended to Hurontario as an easy-west road. The north-south section of City Centre makes a slight curve around 50 City Centre and then straight to Burnhamthorpe on the east side of the exising building with the removal of the parking structure. The existing road for the remaining corner will be fill in to form a square cotrner where the two City Centre will cross each other.

I really hope that if/when they appear before Brampton council that they actually have answers as opposed to twiddling their thumbs with boilerplate answers. This has gone on for far too long.

I haven't seen that report but a quick look is basely the similar to the Downtown 21 plan. 55 needs to come down and make the street straighter,

That block has been talked about well over a deacde with no real plan for it at this time that I am aware of. 55 City Centre has been looking for someone to rent close to 2 deades or mor as the turn rate is high and why office space or towers are on the radar these days for MCC.

The placemap is a placemap as what may come for that whole block and the city core. As it stands, there is supposed to be no height restrictions for anything that can be built along Hurontario other than flight path restrictin areas. What ever developers want to be built height wise, they can do it. This is set by the province, not the city. Alba Condos wanted to go taller than it is but too late for the deadline to do so. The plaza across the street is an MOZ for 2 44s towers.

Recently came across this GTA Office market report from Colliers (was posted in another thread here) and pretty much confirms that MCC office market is dead. 18.3% vacancy rate for office space in MCC is 3rd worst in the GTA ....

If that NW block that Morguard owns is slated for office space, it's gonna be a while before we see any movement there. Hopefully the City Centre road reconfiguration isn't tied to redevelopment of that block because it could be a long way away and that would dramatically improve the pedestrian experience in MCC if/when it's built.

Transit does go a long way to making it a more attractive office market but at a certain point I feel like if we cram enough people here, employment surely has to follow - simply because of access to talent. At least I hope so lol since more density is coming a hell of a lot sooner than all these transit projects.

The Exchange Tower is where an office tower used to be that was out dated and 50% empty.OMERS whas down size and cancel office towers for their land. There is a lot of empty land east of Dixie road on both side of Eglinton that will draw office towers there first than MCC. Sames goes for the airport area. There are a few office towers that will match the flight height restrictions along Hurontario north of Matheson. There are other areas that still can built office towers that will be cheaper to rent than MCC and until they are max out, Office towers will be a long time coming to MCC with 15-25s being the tallest they will be unless part of residential toweres which should happen in the first place.

What a week that has seen a lot of changes for the corridor. Was planning to take some photos shots of Central Pkwy on my way home and after doing some shopping on Friday but late doing so that only got a few shots due to poor lighting. Counted over 2 dozen workers finishing work on more poured concrete for the northbound track with a lot sitting around waiting for something to happem. About 2 hours after doing shopping, most were still there in the dark sitting around.

Shot the area around 8am and still on the darkside as the sun was rising that saw over a dozen workers on site doing various things, A lot of concrete grinding was taking place with hand grinders and haven't seen this after concrete was poured for tracks. The southbound track was being prepared for concrete pour next week. Noticed 2 areas of hydro work taking place with one pole being held in place.

Once the concrete work is finished for CP-Fairviw area, they will move to the Fairview-CPKC bridge area.

What got me the most was Cooksville Station as the base has been poured for as well forming for the guideway base including the northside of CPKC bridge area that is now ready for concrete. I knew last week the station guidway would be pour as there was no sign of form work for the station.

Steel Mats are being place from Agnes to Hillcrest for the southbound track with some ties in place. There is a stock pile of rails on site wil rail place along the guideway for this area.

The Queensway station platform is now poured.

Had a look at the Hydro work for the North Service Road area. New poles along with wiring has been installed over Hurontario and further back from it as well poles to deal with the poles that need to be remove from the southbound curb lane, Those curb lane poles has the wires removed from them as well cut down at the top considering these are concrete poles in the first place. To the north of the plaza, new poles in place as well strung with 2 poles taking the line to an underground duct work to the North Service Rd poles. Communication cables needs to be remove from the poles that will be remove hopeful this year.
