    Here's a very old image I still have on my hard drive. It's dated 2006-01-12. I was still living in the UK at the time. I remember thinking this was a vision of the future, but in retrospect, this was likely my first case of being deluded by renders!

    Tall Poppy Syndrome is an attitude I'm very familiar with from my home country (UK), but contrary to your observation, I don't see anywhere near as much of that from Canadians, who I find to generally be supportive of innovators. Not saying it doesn't exist, though.

    There is no spire on FCP, just guyed antennas. A structural spire would be counted in the building height, but antennas are not.

    ^ Agreed. It's a sampling drill, not a caisson drill, so I wouldn't qualify this as "under construction" yet.
