    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Eating out has become way too expensive. I understand food prices, rent, etc. has gone up, but for us, the value of dining out vs the costs has been fairly lopsided for some time now; now we rarely go out dining at all. Even Winterlicious/Summerlicious seems $$ to me.

    Toronto 93 Ontario Street | 61.1m | 16s | Colonia Treuhand | Sweeny &Co

Wow! Only 2 parking spaces! The bigger units are decent sizes though.

    Weird floor plans…

Unless you do a lot of work (or gaming I guess) at home, I'd be tempted to give up the optional den just to have more space. TV goes on the bathroom wall, maybe giving you room for a small kitchen island. Or a console table behind the sofa where you could possibly do your general computing...

Redpath Sugar Refinery | 95 Queens Quay East

I live in the area, and I love that Redpath is there. Sure, I do wish they did something about their fence, and maybe paint a few more murals, but I still really want them to stay. Historical, uniqueness, jobs, etc.

    Toronto 115 Jarvis Street | 168.55m | 51s | Suncor | Arcadis

3 bedroom units at 850 - 1,000 sq ft seems too small. The 2 bedroom units also feels iffy to me as well.

I was fine with it until I scrolled down far enough to see the massive CIBC branding. :(

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

Yes I totally agree, the actual building is crap, but as I said the location is great. Moving it nearby (like the temporary tent) makes sense; but moving it so far away from the neighbourhood is a bit of a disservice to the area. But you do bring up a could-have-been-a-great-idea with the...

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

It's actually quite busy IMHO. The problem is that it's not very visible and welcoming as you say; they put the children area on the street front, which also means no front door there. It's definitely old - and there's a prevailing smell that never goes away - but I think the geographic...

Toronto Sherbourne Common, Canada's Sugar Beach, and the Water's Edge Promenade | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto | Teeple Architects

Wow, I hope they have a good reason to block off a big chunk of the park now. Were they afraid they wouldn't be able to dig/build the foundation in Feb/March?

Yeah it's just going to confuse drivers that take that route often.

    St Lawrence Market

Oof yeah, The area is getting pretty dense with all the new condos in the area, so losing the Front street location is going to leave a pretty big gap. Sounds like it'll still be a couple of years away - hopefully they have an alternate plan for a library int he St. Lawrence neighbourhood.

    Toronto The Whitfield | 130m | 39s | Menkes | Giannone Petricone

Very nice, but that branding at the top is a little much.

    Toronto Aquavista at Bayside | 46.94m | 13s | Tridel | Arquitectonica

Walked by last night (a little before 7pm), and they are already shelving! 👍 The bar Region looked far from being done - no pics as it wasn't lit up.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 283.6m | 85s | Menkes | a—A

So the school at the north, and the park at the south, with condo buildings in between the two? Seems bizarre if that's the case.
