    Restaurant Comings & Goings

    Looks like Saturday May 9th.

    Toronto 115 Jarvis Street | 168.55m | 51s | Suncor | Arcadis

One of the worst I've seen at that gas station was a homeless woman dropping her pants and peeing near one of the pumps. I felt bad because it didn't seem like she was all mentally there, and she obviously couldn't hold it any longer. But that was almost a decade ago now, not sure about now as...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

On Saturday (Jan 31), from much further away - at least, I think that's the same boat! :)

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

(Bold mine) Isn't watering down the service going to create negative PR by default? I mean, I'd rather they launch with full confidence versus launching with their eyes covered and fingers crossed. How has it gotten so bad?

    Return to office discussion

Fair, but now you are making a lot of noise for everyone else. I'm in the office right now, and near me (close enough for me to hear): 3 people in separate video calls Two people talking at their desk (one of the voices carries quite a bit) Chatter in the kitchen nook It's not always like...

    Return to office discussion

I absolutely hate the open office plans. I used to hate cubicles but man, give me cubicles over this super loud and distracting open office. Granted, the open office plan happened pre-Covid, but it was terrible then too, but now, add in the fact there's no assigned seating and it becomes even...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Eating out has become way too expensive. I understand food prices, rent, etc. has gone up, but for us, the value of dining out vs the costs has been fairly lopsided for some time now; now we rarely go out dining at all. Even Winterlicious/Summerlicious seems $$ to me.

    Toronto 93 Ontario Street | 61.1m | 16s | Colonia Treuhand | Sweeny &Co

Wow! Only 2 parking spaces! The bigger units are decent sizes though.

    Weird floor plans…

Unless you do a lot of work (or gaming I guess) at home, I'd be tempted to give up the optional den just to have more space. TV goes on the bathroom wall, maybe giving you room for a small kitchen island. Or a console table behind the sofa where you could possibly do your general computing...

Redpath Sugar Refinery | 95 Queens Quay East

I live in the area, and I love that Redpath is there. Sure, I do wish they did something about their fence, and maybe paint a few more murals, but I still really want them to stay. Historical, uniqueness, jobs, etc.

3 bedroom units at 850 - 1,000 sq ft seems too small. The 2 bedroom units also feels iffy to me as well.

    Toronto Tempo WNBA team

I was fine with it until I scrolled down far enough to see the massive CIBC branding. :(

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

Yes I totally agree, the actual building is crap, but as I said the location is great. Moving it nearby (like the temporary tent) makes sense; but moving it so far away from the neighbourhood is a bit of a disservice to the area. But you do bring up a could-have-been-a-great-idea with the...

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

It's actually quite busy IMHO. The problem is that it's not very visible and welcoming as you say; they put the children area on the street front, which also means no front door there. It's definitely old - and there's a prevailing smell that never goes away - but I think the geographic...
