It's a bad idea for me to wade into the station names debate, but it's the weekend. So, here goes... 🤪
Rename Corktown to King East Station. King Street ends one kilometre east of the station, with no possibility of being extended. Forget about picking one somewhat known neighbourhood name over...
The province rejected the TDSB in February 2025:

The TDSB published its business case in September 2024...
Word on the street is that CreateTO cannot start construction of its 770 Don Mills and 805 Don Mills projects until Metrolinx completes construction of the Ontario Line. So, the TDSB school might be a long time coming, even if its funding is approved this time.
Actually, Ford said that the city can do anything it wants with the property, except open another science centre.
There is a 20-year suggested repair plan for the building that costs tens of millions of dollars per year at most; it's variable, not hundreds of millions of dollars in years 1 to 3...
Unfortunately, the Ontario Science Centre is not designated. An attempt was made in 2023, but it did not go through. The OSC has been heritage-listed since 2006, but that does not protect it from demolition.
Neither the province nor the city can exit the lease unilaterally, it has to be by...
@kotsy, do you think there is an opportunity for a new multi-use trail, from Millwood and Overlea into the valley, as part of the restoration of the construction site for the Don Valley Crossing?
Keep in mind, Kinga Surma referred to Michael Lindsay as her "partner in crime" on multiple occasions when he was the head of IO. Mr. Lindsay also had no problem, evidently, in pushing the collapsing science centre roof narrative.
I really do not know what is and is not possible within the USRC but, for whatever reason, I am now wondering if ALTO is talking with the City about using part of the Green P Parking garage at 2 Church Street as its dedicated station.
Some might even say that it is within walking distance of...
I'm just fooling around with the idea. It doesn't seem like the public-facing design of Exhibition Station has made any allowance for a separate peoplemover, et cetera though. But, maybe I have missed something in the schematics.
Either way, it does seem to be the case that headed in any...
Despite the city indicating they want Ontario Line extension to Dundas West Station, and the province at least once somewhat vaguely mentioning an extension to Kipling Station, I feel like what we are really going to get is Ontario Place Station.
With the 32-Storey Hotel X Phase 2 and...
At Don Valley Station, Metrolinx has closed the elevator between the bus terminal and the concourse level for Ontario Line construction.
At the time of this post; Monday, February 9th at 11:50 am, the only public notifications are located inside the station at the concourse and bus terminal...
It is probably 20,000 posts or so ago, but does anyone here remember Metrolinx's proposal for a "GO Relief Tunnel" in downtown Toronto? It was pre-Ontario Line, and somewhat part of the 2010s Relief Line discussion. I am looking for the mapping of it, particularly. Maybe it was included in a...
