The obsession with "breaking up massing" or "visual interest" in this city is a real problem. It's why we end up with weird cut-outs, buildings that have different treatments on different sides, etc. I think this is an attempt to solve the "grey glass condo" problem, but done entirely the wrong...

I laugh so that I don't cry. It's giving "what if we clad a prison in brick!". which is arguably unfair to prisons as many have better architecture than this. Just absolutely hideous.
