What would you have them do? Keep the station called that as an advertisement for a destination that no longer exists?

No one's going to be happy about being replaced by robots, it doesn't matter whether we have that conversation now or in 20 years. The sheer number of grade crossings alone makes this a non starter in the short to medium term.

I think making automated trains to avoid conflict between employees and employers is not a very elegant solution, nor would it benefit the employees, just the employer.
