Some shots of Exhibition Station from the pedestrian bridge yesterday afternoon.

Might not be the greatest of renders, but I feel like this is a pretty lousy design from HPA (at least compared to their other work).

A lackluster GO train pic, but they've been doing earthworks at the site for the past 1-2 months and now looks like some drill rigs are at work.

Sure is! Those are the first couple of gantries that make up the TBM, they house all the ancillary equipment like electrical cabinets, ventilation boosters, hydraulic pumps, etc. And that star-shaped thing at the front of the shaft isn't part of the TBM unfortunately, that would be part of the...

What's the work that's happening here for? I saw it when I rode the Barrie line a few weeks ago and was wondering what was going on

I wonder why the new crane is so tall, why would you need that kind of height to simply lift things in and out of a shaft?

Likely not. Maybe a couple portions of the shield will be assembled prior to delivery to the site but most will remain as they were unloaded from the ship (including the cutterhead as seen in the photo)
