This might be the craziest proposal of the year thus far. If you're gonna build anything here, you would think it would look like what they did on the lot immediately north of this.
It's wild that the residential tower proposal rejected here would have definitely been approved today, and now the useless offices here will likely be demolished in a few years to build a residential tower.
The 105 storey tower is about half a kilometer from the water's edge and there are going to be five buildings south of it descending in height. Don't hold your breath height junkies lol
In the plan buildings are supposed to be low at the lake and ascend in height the further away you move from it.

I was shocked at the rents of the smaller res buildings on Wellington, many of them have enormous terraces bigger than the unit or multiple balconies, and they seem to have counted the outside square footage as if it were actually useable space. There are very tiny units that have 3x the space...
There are more towers coming to this intersection and Bathurst Street is a densification corridor zoned for midrise.
Also, they were all filled before the development and if the neighbourhood was able to support shops on a quiet side street (Markham) before this development, surely there is...
