    TTC: Streetcar Network

For reference purposes only. Toronto is mentioned (in vain?) in this article on “Bus stop spacing statistics: Theory and evidence”. See https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1077291X24000031

    TTC: Streetcar Network

At least with the street network, we have a grid street layout. The suburban bus network used to be worse with its cul-de-sacs and crescents adding a maze to get to the bus stops, making for a longer walking distance. Some walkways and sidwalks have been added to create shortcuts through that...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

Ban on-street parking in the downtown, especially along streetcar routes. Replace with wider streetcar "express" stops (at major intersections, with transit priority signals between), but supplement with "local" bus stops where the on-street parking used to be. With matching headways or...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Wonder if consideration has been done to have fewer light rail stops. Effectively making the light rail stops "express" only. Then have a parallel "local" bus taking care of the stops between the "express" light rail stops, with transfer privileges between the "local" and "express" services...

Not just the breath, but the wet footwear, clothing, umbrellas, and strollers. Some water drip off the people, some water vapour evaporates into the air from the clothes, and as the people walk, the wetness comes off their footwear leaving a trail of wet footprints.

The price increases for gasoline should push people towards public transit, at least for this year.

All the public transit projects are needed to fight the traffic congestion caused by the single-occupant automobile. Toronto is way behind public transit compared to outside North America.

They're assuming the air pressure from the trains will push or pull the air out of the stations, most of the time. Doesn't work as well if the passageways are some distance from the trains' air pressure. (Reminds me of the old Klaatu song, "Sub-Rosa Subway", that used air pressure to move. The...
