I'm sorry for tagging you @smallspy, but I felt you were the right person to answer this question:
Is the ridiculous speed limit on the curve at Highway 27 the fault of bad planning, or the result of the cancellation of the Flexities in lieu of Citadis cars?
To a layman, I think the shorter...
^ Ancient things in the ceiling.

This stop should be closed. The Glendale/St. Joe's stop and Claude pathway is close enough. It's amazing they left this stop intact when the stairs at South Kingsway were demolished.
Will it really...
Please forgive me, I couldn't find the precise post, but a while back a forum member said bike signals should have a "detected" incidator.
If we followed the Finnish model, it may look something like this:
The white LED on the bottom-right of the red signal starts flashing once a...
Yeah, even France is more amicable to English than Quebec...
I'll never forget my high school English teacher telling me he was from the West Island - his kitchen set on fire - and 911 said "en Français, svp". That's when he left Quebec for Ontario,
He used to work for CN as well, and recalled...
I gotta say, it's so cool Translink has confirmed that their standard buses will be three doors, and their artics will be four doors.
I guess they took a message from Toronto's streetcars, and all-door boarding will become a thing on their version of our streetcar network, ie. trolleybuses. ❤️
So back in 2019, I took my new to me 2015 Jetta TDI for a roadtrip:

Everytime there's snow/ice, the TTC arbitrarily diverts 42 buses via Leslie-Finch-Bayview. For the second time this year on grocery runs, I've had to stop at Ruddington and Pineway as a good samaritan to let passengers know they have to walk to Bayview or...

I seriously wanted to chime in about floor numbering...
For all the legalese we emphasize toward safety in North America, ie. not getting sued - why do we get this wrong?
Every stairwell, elevator, floor number should be signed/numbered the same way.
Below grade floors should be numbered -1...
This, they couldn't even be bothered to mirror the stickers at the termini/side-platforms, so on one side the text is facing you, on the other it's facing the train, which is totally useless.
If that's really 30 feet/9 metres, wow.
Not to mention the weather, salting and passengers will...
When Helsinki artificially shortened their Metro from 6 cars (135m) to 4 cars (90m) to save 50 million Euros on the Western Espoo extension, at least they put in proper stickers on the platform edge to demarcate the boarding zone:

If sh** hits the fan, would it be plausible purchasing the K-W units? How many extra sets are needed for full three-car trains to Renforth. K-W has 15 sets according to CPTDB Wiki. If the production line can't be re-activated, it might make sense to adapt their units, while possibly coordinating...
