The restaurants and retail will come. Business follows the money and the fact that there will be at least 2 banks in Regent park (RBC and Scotia) indicates that there is money in the neighborhood. And with the new condo developments that will be completing on River St in the next couple of years...

I live in Regent Park and I truly believe that it is the best neighborhood in Toronto. Living there is like living the suburban lifestyle in downtown Toronto. Plus it's diverse, inclusive and provide easy access to countless amenities.

Toronto Atrium on Bay Expansion | 114m | 34s | KingSett Capital | Hariri Pontarini

What I was actually told was that engineers have concluded that the existing foundation cannot support the proposed floor expansion. There seem to be a lot of well connected people and insiders on this site, can any of you confirm that? Asking because I have a unit at 633 Bay st with a south...

ardwold1 is absolutely right. I have lived in Chicago for 8 years and in Toronto for 13 years, and I have been to Paris multiple times visiting family. So I know Chicago and Paris way beyond the glamour that these cities try to sell to tourists. And let me tell you...Toronto blow them all out of...

I do not know and neither do you. What I do know is that LED or not, the hydro expenses are far more than they would have been if the building was not illuminated. For god's sake, not even privately owned properties are that illuminated. And that's because they have to be mindful of their...

Can I make a cheaper suggestion? How about installing security cameras instead? Or hire more security guards instead of wasting money on that building?

There is wasteful spending and then there WASTEFUL SPENDING. Public art doesn't cost $122 million a pop; and neither do green spaces and streetscapes. This is to me a $30,000-umbrella like scandal on steroids.

It may be...but a dollar spent to illuminate that building is a dollar too much. The illumination doesn't add any value other than making the building look sexy.

Well..if you think that the health care system, the education system, and social services are very well funded then I guess you're right that all I am trying to do is advocate for higher pay for said providers. To me it doesn't matter how much the provincial government contributed, money was...
