I know its minuscule but the first photo is basically all about the road and cars. Its a transit project ffs make the photos related to that. If I didn't know what the project was I don't think I would have even realized it was about transit with the photo choice.
I used those in Gatwick just recently. So much easier to use those to get through Customs then the lineup of 30+ at Halifax regional for 2 customs officers. As long as you were semi computer literate it worked like a charm and super convenient.
Gatwick actually just did a whole renovation on...
Realistically, could we see trains running on this elevated section this year or are we looking at spring/early summer next year before it is in use? Its nice to see the project moving along well so far.
With both CN and CP in a bit of a bidding war in order to purchase Kansas City Southern. Is there an opportunity for Via Rail to try and use that large purchase to their advantage? I was thinking something to the terms of if CN completes the purchase. Agreeing to pay for some improvements along...
Correct me if I am wrong but was the Canadian Infrastructure Bank not designed (or hoped) to take a set amount of public money and then leverage that money with the private sphere to fund public projects. I.e. $1 public dollar hoping for $1+ private dollars.
I have a hard time seeing how some...
Anne Marie Aikins/Metrolinx answered me when I posed a question regarding timelines for the electrification project. Given that 2025 was the timeframe that Metrolinx was promoting for a long time; they told me that they wont know any type of actual timeline until the contractors get back to them...
As someone not from that area of the province has the expansion to Bowmanville always been something that was on the table or talked about? or was that a pet project introduced by the government on its way out that was allowed to continue. It seems baffling to be that the Oshawa Go Station was...
Given that we didn't see much out of the federal government in its fiscal update beyond some additional support to VIA to help cover the losses due to Covid-19. Should we look to the states in terms of the Amtrak State Supported rail lines model to try and get more service to areas that are...
Not sure of the quality or accuracy of the reporting of this website. But I came across an article on TrainsMagazine.com (Link attached) talking about the corporate business plan for VIA rail and the next 5 years...
Would Ontario Northland be a possible solution to the issues of congestion in the park and around it? Their routes already go through this area so it wouldn't be a huge increase in logistics or capacity to introduce that to the route. Although it would add about 1.5 to the total route time...
To introduce a variable to the conversation.
- Has anyone heard anything about the new trainsets that they purchased from Siemens? Are they still on the same timeline for deployment or has COVID caused development and deployment delays?
- From a hypothetical perspective. Do you guys feel that...
Excuse the ignorance but the boxes seen in photo #2/3 from above. Are those planters to protect the trees on the other side of the fence or what is their purpose?
It's to bad that it doesn't continue down to the University. For students, they can get halfway on the subway and then have to make a transfer to continue the rest of the way. I may be wrong but I believe that connection isn't on the books for any time soon either.
