To make the square more attractive, the city will need to start by cleaning up the area from drug addicts. There's no way around it. But Chris Moise believes in ''harm reduction'' so he won't do anything about it.
wasn't the pedestrian bridge supposed to open in 2026? I'm not sure how anyone will be able to get to it given all the constructions happening in the area over the next decade
The existing areas were in great dispair. They're gone now and what's going to happen is going to happen. No need to keep complaining about it. Focus on issues that can be fixed
that's a lot of density for a small area with no public transit happening within the next decade and trafic is already hell... whoever is planning this needs to be fired
The people in charge of this are paid a lot of money and they have no incentive to do anything quickly. Even if they got full financing from the government, they’d find ways to drag it out to secure their salaries
It's still absolutely insane that the first leg is only starting in 4 years (if all goes well) and that construction for it alone will take 10 years (if all goes well). Canada is a joke nation,
It will take at least a few more years before any shovels and then who knows how many years of constructions and delays so the people running this project can make as much money as possible. Maybe we'll see it in 2038.
