If we acknowledge it’s their land, it’s their land and they can do what they want with it. So let’s just issue superficial statements to look like we care and do what we want with stolen land instead.

If the government actually cared about Indigenous communities, they would give them back their land and lease it from them. All these consultations and renamings are just for show.

There was no rush for this to happen now. The city is in a deficit. There are more and more people on the streets. There is no reason for the city to move ahead with this right now. They are only doing it to save face because they can't rename the actual street. People should be protesting this...

They're paid more than me to figure it out. I'm OK with them using whatever resources they can to improve the situation. Spending millions on this renaming accomplishes nothing and people should be outraged that this was approved without any public consultations.
