I'm assuming the stickers on the windows will be removed when the store opens and proper signage will be installed?

If we acknowledge it’s their land, it’s their land and they can do what they want with it. So let’s just issue superficial statements to look like we care and do what we want with stolen land instead.

If the government actually cared about Indigenous communities, they would give them back their land and lease it from them. All these consultations and renamings are just for show.

When will this be usable by residents?

    Yonge-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square (Brown + Storey Architects)

There was no rush for this to happen now. The city is in a deficit. There are more and more people on the streets. There is no reason for the city to move ahead with this right now. They are only doing it to save face because they can't rename the actual street. People should be protesting this...

They're paid more than me to figure it out. I'm OK with them using whatever resources they can to improve the situation. Spending millions on this renaming accomplishes nothing and people should be outraged that this was approved without any public consultations.

The city says it cares about them. Time to show it instead of wasting our tax money with this non-sense renaming.

    Yonge-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square (Brown + Storey Architects)

Nobody was even complaining about Dundas as a name except for a very small majority of people who will now find something else to be outraged about. This is being used as political PR for absolutely no good reason. At the same time, the city approves renaming a stadium after Rob Ford of all...

    Yonge-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square (Brown + Storey Architects)

People could just overlook the past behind the name Dundas instead and learn from it. And people in Ghana themselves don't see that everyone has the same worth as you can read above. If they were allowed to dictate how we run this city, a lot of events would get cancelled... Nice thought but in...

New proposed name is absolutely ridiculous. Of all options, we're going with a Ghanan name? What kind of world do we live in?

How is my post trying to provoke a fight? Not everyone will agree on this but different opinions should be allowed.

The subway stop should reflect the main attraction in the area. TMU isn't it. Might as well rename it Eaton Centre at this point.

What a waste of money when homeless people and crackheads are littering the same street. Woke culture at its best. All talk, no show.

it's on the small side (few aisles) but it's got everything you need. I've been a few times.

It seems a lot of new builds and Renos are aiming for all gender bathrooms though. Went to the AGO recently and the bathrooms were changed to ''bathrooms for everyone''. The stall partitions were so low that someone peeing standing up could look inside the next stall. And the stall I used had a...
