Retail in Telus Tower I heard that RBC was opening a branch. Not sure about anything else.

St Mary's Cement I was told by planner that St Mary's Cement will be operating until July 2009.

Bank in Malibu There is a sign for a minor variance to allow bank or financial instititution on the ground floor corner retail unit. Rumour is its Scotia because its not TD or RBC. LB

Anybody know what is happening with the former Downtown Crysler dealership site on the north west corner of King & shaw. It seems its been sitting vacant for quite a while?

There is significantly higher density at those other two locations than in Cabbagetown. I just think the banks are overdoing it and setting themselves up to close branches later when this falls out of favour. I guess it will just leave somebody with job security. Open branches... Close...

Hey Simply Dan... What do you mean Cabbagetown? TD just opened at Queen & Parliament??? I can't imagine there is that many potential customers to warrant two branches 500m away? Are you sure you work for TD...

Actually retailers often sign deals that far in advance. Sometimes it takes that long for a site to get municipal approvals - think OMB. Some sites are just worth waiting for. Thanks for pointing out the TD though.
