The two biggest parcels that make up this site are listed by the City of Hamilton for sale by the City related to property tax arrears, owing almost $200k in property tax between them.

Visible from Queen St in Kitchener's increasingly big-city feel. It's an unbelievable contrast from 10 years ago.

I'd love to see them re-imagine one of downtown's old church buildings like First Pilgrim United, or Philpott. And/or keep going with some of the good work they started around Gore Park, like the small commercial buildings right at King and James. Maybe they can finally make something happen...

I fully expect that will be different a generation from now when stations in Grimsby and Beamsville are complete. Lots of Grimsby-dwellers come to work in Hamilton, Hamiltonians go to school at Brock, or St. Catharine's residents want to visit family near Gage Park, etc. The difference for...
