I've always thought that the streetcar network map that they post on streetcars and the subway is actually a fantasy map because the streetcars never actually run as advertised
This makes a lot of sense. I do wonder whether Metrolinx has even considered the fact that the Randolph entrance will become a major entrance to the subway station, rather than just a substitute for the current platform access to the GO station.
I guess time will tell.
The new developments won't change the fact that Bloor Street dips down here, which makes the entrance to UP/GO inaccessible from the road or from the south side of Bloor.

The Bloor entrance to GO/UP is actually not all that useful, since it does not lead to any other mode of transport -- it only leads to a sidewalk that is raised high above the road and the bike lane. The Bloor entrance can really only used by people arriving on foot, and once the new connections...
It will be great for people in Junction Triangle.
But people on the East side of Dundas will still have to cross the street to get into the subway station (or backtrack to the GO platform and access the tunnel from there)
