    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Yeah essentially travel speed was slower than RapidTO (the business as usual scenario), which means that less riders are modeled to use the line/system since it is slower than before and less competitive with other modes. I don't believe bus network changes were coded in. This is why you make...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

If you've been to any of the new Line 5 stations, it can take a similar amount of time to reach the platform because of the station depth... I honestly don't think the Spadina tunnel on its own (150m) is that bad, but in the context of the full walk between Line 1 and Line 2, it's much longer.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Agreed. My thought is that it's only 450m between Kennedy Rd and the Agincourt GO platforms. A typical TTC subway platform is 150m. If it was located in the exact middle, you're talking about 150m walking distance from each end of the platform to Kennedy Rd and to Agincourt GO platforms. That is...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

As of next board period Line 5's end to end time is decreasing to 49 minutes, from the current 55 minutes. Line 6 is unchanged at 44-45 minutes.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Which is why I'm still very much of the opinion that the priority should be packaging DSBRT from STC to UTSC, the existing RapidTO lanes, and upcoming Busway into a serious BRT program for Scarborough...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

If the route ends up being phased - is there more demand from the future Sheppard-McCowan Station to Malvern and UTSC, or from Kennedy to UTSC (where RapidTO lanes already exist)?

The Increasingly Exorbitant Cost of (Transit) Infrastructure

Honestly the 2022 estimate seems bogus in how high the contingencies and escalation is - I wouldn't be shocked to see it come down significantly

    Brampton: Queen Street RT

Moral of the story: don't let Metrolinx take over your projects!

The Future of subway and rapid transit in the GTA

So what I'm hearing is we need to majorly jack up Green P rates, start tearing down our highways, and use more cost effective transit construction methods to make TTC/GO more successful. No complaints here!

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Metrolinx runs the show. I doubt this issue came out of nowhere, but rather Metrolinx realized it could reduce tunneling costs by not protecting for EELRT, and the City having no power to stop them.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

It's wild how operator-specific this must be - I took it last week and it was 45 mins end to end, with many straight open sections that felt bewilderingly slow

    Brampton: Queen Street RT

Worrying to see that Brampton feels that they need to advocate for both projects. Likely found out about major delays/pauses to both?

    Marlee/Glencairn Transformation

Closing the Allen Rd NB offramps at Lawrence is a really smart idea. The Allen was designed to be part of a larger highway network, and most people are not taking it from Eglinton to Lawrence. Frees up space for housing at Lawrence and likely takes traffic off of Eglinton and the Allen too...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Unfortunately already a lot of this kind of thing happening. On Line 1, Line 6, Downsview GO, and the future Line 4 west extension are all one stop away from each other. On Line 2, the future Line 4 east extension will likely terminate at McCowan, one stop away from Scarborough Town Centre and...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

They planned a ton of sprawl over an aquafier and now realized they actually will run out of potable water if they develop it...
