    Toronto The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

This was mentioned a short while ago when the banks ordered everyone back to the office, and the idea was shot down by a couple on this forum. It's looking more and more like new construction will proceed sooner than a lot of people thought a couple of months ago.

    Port Colborne Lithium-ion Battery Separator Plant | ?m | 1s | Asahi Kasei

A lot of info in this video. CATL now says they have solved a lot of the weight issue. Their new Naxtra batteries have a density of 175 Wh/Kg which is close or equal to lithium. The temp. range is a big deal in the northern latitude. -40C - +70C range takes care of winter and summer temp. swings...

    Port Colborne Lithium-ion Battery Separator Plant | ?m | 1s | Asahi Kasei

It will be interesting in the near future when sodium ion batteries become the go to batteries for ev's. CATL and EVE are already producing them for storage facilities, and car production isn't far behind. They are rated for 3.5-5.0 million miles, and will outlast the vehicles themselves. They...

    Toronto The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

As reported in the Globe and Mail, with the big banks requiring office workers return to work 4 days a week this fall, they are scrambling for office space. This may lead to a drop in empty offices, and push new builds like the Hub.

Trees in an urban environment will fare differently than rural as you mentioned. I had a small hobby farm not far from where i now live, and in the mid 90's planted 1700 trees, mostly Pine and Spruce, but among them Kentuckey Coffee, Hackberry, Shagbark Hickory and Tulip trees from a forestry...

The trees listed above are Carolinian tree species which are native to the North Shore of Lake Erie, where i live. There are a fair number of Tulip trees around my house. Toronto may be at the northern edge of the growing zone, but there is a good chance they will be ok.

That pickup is gonna be a while hauling the rest of the pit away. Concord must have another pickup around somewhere.

That's not what i said at all. If there are workers on site, then work is continuing, and everyone can undo all the knots in their shorts. Thaivic posted pictures yesterday with a few workers on site, and if that continues through the week, then there shouldn't be all the panic posts as there is...

Does anyone have any new photos of continuing construction? After the big pour on the weekend, there should be some indication of form removal, and the floor being installed for the next level. As long as work is continuing, then we can relax and let the lawyers and money men do their thing.

Hoping the protests tomorrow aren't down the street like last weekend.

It's going to come down to execution and quality of materials, assuming it's built as the photo above. Now if they cheapen out when construction starts, as has happened on other projects, we will have a visual trauma for our lifetimes. Sounds dramatic doesn't it. :)
