President Donald Trump's United States of America

This seems alot like Iraq in 2003.
I'm not sure if you are aware, but when you post screenshots from your phone like this the site makes them gigantic on non-miobile devices. It's about triple the size of my laptop monitor.

No. The US literally went in with a transitional authority in 2003. It was incompetent. But that's a different matter. They did actually get to a parliamentary government eventually. And even ironically ended up being influenced just as much by Iran as the US.

You know what it actually sounds like? What Putin said he would do to Ukraine's "Nazi regime" when he invaded. And that's not a coincidence.

He said in his presser that Cuba is also full of bad people, is a failed state and he's looking at making it better 'for the Cuban people. One of his hench-persons has said Mexico is also on their radar. Panama, Greenland; give him time folks, he's only one man.

And Congress wasn't informed: 'Congress is full of leakers'. The foundation of the US system of governance has been tossed out the window, and many seem to be okay with it.

Sure. But again, who is going to put in the capital to rebuild their industry? American oil majors have literally been cutting back on drilling at home. Pouring 10x more capital into Venezuela to then lower global oil prices doesn't seem like a plan that would appeal to them. And this is literally happening as we get news that Chinese oil demand is peaking. And possibly a global peak this decade. Just in time for so much of that investment to come online.
Maybe the US government will make it worth their while through tax incentives, grants or something. His is an old-world thinking regime where oil is king and will remain forever so. Everything with him is transactional.

I just don't see the economics of it for US oil majors. If this was a decade ago during his first term? Sure.

Also, kinda hard to reverse the refugee flow if Venezuela doesn't recover economically. And that's not a small matter. A quarter of Venezuelans live outside the country post-Chavez.

Now that Mr Trump appears to be turning Venezuela into the 51st state does this mean we will be the 52nd ? (Or 53rd, after Greenland.)

No way he wants Venezuela as a state. That would give them voting rights and representation and those are not people he wants to have that.
At most they could become a new Puerto Rico, but I suspect he simply loses interest at some point and finds something new to invade.
Likely they will simply take a snip of the land for a new, permanent US joint military base, like how they have Guantanamo in Cuba, but in this case it will be to control all air and sea (oil export) access to the country.
He probably wants to control land access too, but that's functionally impossible without tens of thousands of soldiers patrolling those borders.

I assume the next step is to drop in this Trump simp.

She got the Prize he so much deserved - perhaps she too can be eliminated and then no doubt the Nobel Peace Prize Committee can award it to their real first choice.

The reason why she got that prize is because she lead her opposition to Maduro non-violently. If she goes along with this coup, all bets are off...and she should return her prize in shame.
