This is normal because the Art Centre is not going to be built. They had to change there plans.

Based on that link, here's what we've lost with the foot, I guess:

The new Arts & Heritage Awareness (AHA) Centre [...] will include an interactive culture museum, ArtsLab; studio theatre where fine arts, drama, dance, literature, architectural and screen presentations will be held; CyberSpace, a food and beverage friendly gaming facility; TVDinner - a dinner theatre and CityLink a tourist information centre that will promote attraction in the city and province and will provide centralized ticketing and concierge services.

Sounds interesting, but it's not hard to draw comparisons between this ambitious cultural venture and Torch, which was a failure.

What does that have to do with this thread?

Are you sure you didn't mean to post six more times using various phrasing that Festival Centre is the reason why M5V Life and Gansevoort will be built?
 
Just saying there case will be very strong when they decide to go the the OMB.
 
Um the AHA thing is what was cancelled. It's nothing new, and all of what was going to be in the cultural part of the building, we already knew about.

And it's not on hold, it's cancelled, but the tower is not.

Thank you for clarifying :) I was just about to blatantly ask if the tower itself was cancelled or put on hold!
 
there is some new hoarding going up along the front of the Sony Centre, right along Front Street....no idea what it is for.....
 
according to this City Planning Final Report ... the L Tower would rise 57s (the 'new' redesign wouldn't affect height) ... also, Page + Steeles Architects/Planners are a joint designer with Libeskind
 
I cannot fathom why this is not under construction yet!
