Maybe they are? The last new word they introduced me to that I can think of at the moment was "chonky".
Additionally, a decade+ younger co-worker who I've bonded with over a love for music routinely says, "man, that track SLAPS!!!" - the first time he said that I had a brief moment of befuddlement that I quickly obscured to appear slightly less lame: "Err...YES!! YES IT REALLY DOES TOTALLY SLAP!!!"

Looks like the east spit east waterfront/boardwalk is being budgeted for this year. Pickering's mayor (who has been granted strong mayor powers and plans on using them) has proposed the above be included in the '24 budget, funded half from casino revenues and the other half development charges.
- boardwalk/trail replacement is ongoing (detailed design drawings 50-60%)...a reminder of what this may look like:

The mayor is also looking to get a bigger gravel parking lot built on the east entrance of the new boardwalk somewhere in the marked section below (nuke plant south east of marked area):

While I'm mulling through the Pickering budget...
The '26 timeline above lines up with Durhams' first section of the BRT cycle tracks:
Some of it is not planned until '28-'33. Ill have to lok back at BRT documents to see if the numbering above lines up with particular segments. Off the top of my head perhaps the CN bridge choke point could be why some tracks come in at a later time, as it seems like a hefty portion:

Umm, nope.
Cycle Tracks on Broadview north of Cosburn and on O'Connor from Broadview to Pape.
The rest is a mixture of contraflow and sharrows, but you can't be omitting those two significant bits, both of which narrow 4-lane roads to 2-lane.
