The stonework looks like cinderblock. Not a good look.

It really does and it's very odd. Is this the intended look? Unfinished?
I'm wondering if it will to be plastered over, painted or polished, or finished differently somehow. It's also such a dull colour.

Well look at that. Concrete can be depressing and dull but that cinder block looks terrific... especially juxtaposed with that glass with black mullions. Some quality greenery and eventually buried electrical on the street and it will end quite handsome. What a pleasant surprise.
 
To be fair, it looks more like prefab cinderblocks...

Count me as among those who is not a fan of the cinderblock look here. It really does look unfinished.
