When they get old and fall into obsolescence, simply decay, or both, buildings inevitably need renewal. Sometimes a retrofit will make the most sense, while other times a tear-down and replacement is the chosen method. In this case at 914 Bathurst Street, Stafford Homes has chosen the more common latter option, and are taking down a 7-storey building in advance of putting up a 12-storey one in this city where housing is always an issue. Formerly known as Vermont Square, UrbanToronto Forum contributor AlbertC has caught the building with three of its most northerly bays now knocked down.
