While the meeting point of Annette and Dundas streets are front-and-centre in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor smably, the new sign atop Junction House that dominates the background here tells you that you've arrived in another one of Toronto's meeting points, the neighbourhood known as The Junction for its adjacency to the crossing of the CNR (now Metrolinx) and CP Rail corridors. Redevelopment has been slow to come to this uniquely funky and cherished area of town for a variety of reasons, but now that it's here, we are seeing some particularly interesting buildings with thoughtful touches, and none that are likely to outshine the lettering atop Slate's Junction House.
