Contributing to a wave of new development along Dupont Street in Toronto, Tridel's latest project for the area, simply known as The Dupont, is set to rise just east of Ossington on an existing Sobeys supermarket site. The nine-storey, Turner Fleischer Architects-designed building is to give the site a new urban presence with 330 condominium units above a base containing just over 31,000 ft² of double-storey retail space. Now, more details have been released in conjunction with marketing of the mid-rise condominium.

Residents of The Dupont are to experience a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces spread across 16,000 ft² of the building, to be appointed by interior designers U31. While most amenities are concentrated on the second floor, the first space residents and visitors are likely to experience is the ground-floor lobby. This dramatic double-height space is to offer a concierge desk and lounge area, with a striking mix of geometric forms that include large illuminated projections seemingly piercing through the walls and ceiling of the natural light-filled space. The lobby will connect residents with other ground-floor spaces including an elevator lobby leading up to suites, as well as mail and parcel rooms.

On the second floor, residents will find a generous mix of indoor and outdoor spaces that cater to a range of activities. Among them is a party room & social lounge space that carries on the geometric design cues established in the lobby below.

This space will connect with a group of other amenity areas, including a dining room/social lounge, a multi-function room, a games room, a kids' room, and a property management office. The Dupont's wellness-themed amenities are located on this floor too, including a sauna, steam room, washrooms and changing rooms, day lockers, a yoga studio, and a fitness centre.

Facing the sun and the city skyline, an amenity-packed terracewilloffer spaces including private lounge and fireside lounge areas, an outdoor kitchen, and colourful plantings to give the space a more intimate feel.

The roof terrace will also include a pool and poolside lounge, the rendering below underscoring the skyline view residents are set to enjoy courtesy of the low-rise character of the neighbourhood to the south.
