This week's Throwback Thursday takes us to Yonge Street and Belsize Drive, between Eglinton and Davisville in Midtown Toronto, comparing before and after views of a recent mid-rise condominium development on the intersection's southeast corner. Back in February, 2017, a group of low-rise brick buildings and a surface parking lot had been fenced off for demolition, and were soon to make way for shoring and excavation for a new condo.

Returning to the same spot approximately three years later, work has wrapped up on J. Davis House by Mattamy Homes and Biddington Group. The nine-storey, Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed condominium was recently completed, adding 191 units and street-fronting retail space to a stretch of Yonge Street where several more mid-rise residential developments with ground-floor retail components are both planned and already under construction.

We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto. In the meantime, you can submit your own Throwback Thursday comparisons in our dedicated Forum thread for your chance to be featured in next week's edition.
