TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

4422 has re-enter service on 509 as arriving July 19

After being here 67 days, 4420 still hasn't re-enter service with it been in and out of the service bays at Leslie and current at Roncesvalles

Looks like 4432 has been loaded onto the flat currently at Hillcrest and waiting for CP to pick it up.

May see 4429, 4430 and 4440 next week or the week after that as they are as they are 130, 128 and 121 days off site

TTC 4429 and 4430 are sitting in Lambton to be ship to Hillcrest.

Metrolinx 6200 is also in Lambton yard to be ship to Metrolinx as a finish car for service.

After arriving 74 days ago, 4420 has finally re-enter service on 506.

4429 was off loaded on Thursday Sept 16 and 4433 took it spot on the flat for a trip to QC. Taking TTC longer these days to off load cars once they been delivery to Hillcrest that 4430 that should have been off loaded will be done next week.

4436 could be the next car to QC and it would complete order up to 4440.

4430 has finally been off loaded after being loaded May 6 140 days ago. Don't know why TTC taking longer to off load once cars are at the dock.

Looks like 4436 has taken 4430 spot on the flat and if so, complete all the cars up to 4440 been fix.

4440 should be here next week to be off loaded as it is next in line follow by 4431

4466 is currently in the service bay at Leslie as being repair at Hillcrest.

The next 4 cars ship in Aug will not be seen until some time in Dec and re-enter service late Feb to early March.

Since 501 and 504 will not resumes normal route service until 2022 thanks to Toronto Hydro, good time for TTC to ship more cars to QC to complete all cars up to 4466 sooner than later. At current rate of turn around and in service, all the remaining cars will not be in service until 2023

4424 has re-enter service on 510 after arriving Aug 17 (43 Day) and 7 days after 4423 that is still having issues. It is and currently on the yard service track.

It been 139 days since 4440 was loaded onto the flat for QC and no word if it is in transit or will be here next week

It will be late Nov or early Dec before 4442, 4446 and 4450 return from QC. Depending on when they return and are ready for service, late Jan or Feb 2022 when they re-enter service.

4440 has been off loaded after after 146 days when it was loaded onto the flat on May 13

4441 has taken 4440 spot for a trip to QC.

4428-30 still in the service bays

Will we see 4431 this week as it was loaded May 26?? If not, it should be next week and no idea if it in Lambton yard now.

4431 has been off loaded with 4443 taking it spot on the flat. 4431 was loaded on May 26 with a turn around of 139 days

4430 is in Russell carhouse with 4428 & 29 on the Barns yard service track. along with 4440. 4440 was out testing late last week,

4442 is the next retuning car and will not be here until early Dec at current turn around follow by 4446, 4450 for this year. 4453 should show up in Jan.

What is he talking about??? there are no cars in the 4500 series having weld done. He needs to do his homework.

4441-66 are cars still to be sent for welds repairs and some have been based above and a page back,

TTC will not see any of the 7 cars out for welds repairs until 2022 with 2 maybe showing up in December,

TTC has 4 cars been worked on that have return from QC and hard to say when the one being here 40 days plus will re-enter service.

No clue when 4571 and 4578 will be ship from Thunder Bay and over 900 days since they left TTC property. Supposed to be return Q1 2021. Aug 13, 2017 was the last time they saw service and only a month old.

I and 2 others are on top of what is out for welds repair, date ship, date return, date re-entre service with one having more info on them.

They didn't say that, they just saying that every car above 4520 was in service. Although, it does look like they might have misread the row numbers as if you wanted to group it in 10s you could round to every car above 4510. From my reading of that chart it actually looks like every Flexity >=4504 is in service (I checked and confirmed that 4471 & 4478 are where I expect them to be to confirm my reading)

As for the welds, they just omit the 44xx on the 30-50, which (mostly) lines up with the data in the chart.

It is a bit of a challenge to read the chart for specific vehicle information. I think the target is casual observers who want to get a sense of vehicles available for service. Those of us lurking on forums and tracking deliveries are left wanting by this infographic.

Only if there is funding for them. At this time there is no money in place other than for the current 13 on order. If money was found today, all 60 cars would be order ASP.

Toronto been screw from day one on having one supplier to build things for TTC than going to the market to get real bids on any tender. TTC keeps shooting themselves in the head by thinking they know best than the manufacture as well the pol's who sit on the Commission.

GM/CEO of TTC have not help the matter since the days of Dave Gunn or the short time frame for Andy.

It would be interesting to see what the final cost is for the new fleet after the last rebuilt cars is back in service for both TTC and BBD/Alstom compare to the contract price. The cost of the 13 extra cars will off set some of BBD/Alstom losses, let alone the other 47 once order.

One thing that needs to happen for the next fleet is to go duel end and remove various loops using stub ends.
You say that but they are all within their reliability standards.
And the problems are being fixed with the ones that have shoddy welds.
Frankly given the custom specifications for this legacy fleet they are doing pretty good.
You don't know if they went to Alstom with the citidas if they would be as reliable.
You need to understand that this network has more tight curves than most with some large hills. Good luck finding a vendor that will successfully build cars for such a network.

Arriving Aug 31, 55 days ago, 4428 finally re-enter service today on route 511.

I thought it would enter service s few days ago while it was at Roncesvalles on the west side after spending time in the service bay.

It looked like it was going to do it Sunday as it had an in service arrow with no route. It ended up an hour later at the Barns after using Dundas to across the city.

It look like 4429 was also going to enter service today as well as it was at the front of the line for service cars, but at the end of the line on the service track.

Leslie Barns has 4429, 4430, 4431 4440 being service and should be in service by late Dec. with 4440 being the last one.

If I use 135 days for turn around, we will see cars around as follow

4441 Feb 04/22

4442 Dec 16/21

4443 Feb 22/22

4446 Dec 23/21

4450 Dec 31/21

4453 Jan 13/22
