I'm quite entertained that whoever has the house on the corner (far right of Jasonzeds photo) refused to sell to this developer. You just know they were offered crazy money for it. Now they're right across from a Go station in the only detached house for a block around in all directions haha

Wondering if the last remaining house owner now regrets not selling at the time rest of the building being bought up. Only good for a park now.

You think this is bad, go and look at the CityLight Condos on Broadway. They wanted $$$ and developer said no to the point things fell through their roof

Slightly off topic, but I really like how you can see the contemporary tower on the left really takes inspiration from the balconies on the older brick tower on the right.

They must have had a difficult time getting tie-back agreements with their neighbours - nobody wants to install those heavy struts and braces - thats just huge money....Not having neighbours on your side costs money
