Toronto Waterworks Building Redevelopment | 47.55m | 13s | MOD Developments | Diamond Schmitt

I don't know the exact ratio, but it seemed to me that a majority of the units were two bedroom. The units facing the park were very expensive, but north and west exposures were much more reasonable - they were ranging from 500K to 800K.

As of the last submission, the unit breakdown was 46% 1-bedroom and 54% 2-bedroom. Seems like an unusual ratio for a downtown condo.

That is what I thought - and in addition, the one bedroom units were mostly quite large. It was in this context that I commented on the City's insistence that there be more three bedroom units - the building was already catering to end-users in its unusually high ratio of two to one bedroom units.

Construction is underway!

I find it's hard to hit "Like" when I see trees sawn down, but I'm pumped for this redevelopment.

From the article:

Indeed, the city’s parks department doesn’t like to have private facilities open onto a park. But that rule was bent here for the publicly accessible food hall. Above it, behind two retained facades, will be a new YMCA. Above that, the Diamond Schmitt tower will be a 13-storey, C-shaped midrise building, clad in dark porcelain panels, with many large terraces

!! Always thought it was going to be brick.

Facade retention system foundations are poured and in place. Now they have to settle for a couple weeks with the equivalent of the weight of the steel before it can be erected (the concrete blocks resting on the foundations).

Are they retaining any of the wood block floor inside the Waterworks building?

I think it's in pretty bad condition, but it was unique.
