This is me asking possibly a dumb question, but does anyone know why they're pouring the floors minus the corners, only to do the corners down the road in the future? Why not just pour the whole floor at once? šŸ¤”

Interesting the floor the worker is on seems to break the pattern of having a column-less corner.

The last two times, the floor above it was supported by the lowest section of the hangers rather than a column from below.

That is because the hanger pattern is broken by the mechanical section (floors 17 and 18). In the previous pattern the hangers end and start on the same floor(for example floor 11) so that floor is supported from above. In this case the next set of hangers wonā€™t start till the 19th so the 17 th needs to be supported from below. There will not be any corner sections for the 18th but the 19th floor will be supported from above and thus there will be no corner columns from the 17th to the 19 th.

This next floor is the utilities level meaning the next floor doesn't have the main corner hanger piece to hold that floor up without a column from the below floor.

Just walked by. They have the fence facing bloor street open for what seems like the first time in forever with a sign that says ā€œwork overhead on face of mega columnsā€. Could this be the final cladding? Or just installing more of the black fabric stuff that goes underneath?

Indeed, the cladding installers shall soon commence their assiduous ascent upon the towering edifice, with the Mega Columns, or MCs, to be placed first. This momentous occasion has been preceded by a protracted duration of arduous labor, rendering the news of this arrival of fencing with sign a veritable cause for exuberant celebration.

...or yes, it's the final cladding.
