Ok, so I did some digging.

Augusta is not proposed to have a traffic light, and I understand why, its only 95M east of Denison which already has a light.

If you go back to the Masterplan, there is/was an intent to put a mid-block crossing in east of Augusta, probably in the vicinity of where the pedestrian-only extension of Vanauley will come out and/or to Kensington Ave in the north.

Its likely any light there will go in with the redevelopment of that section.

Move the one from Denison to Augusta. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not quite sure why you're so set on traffic lights at Augusta.

The cost of relocating them from Denison would be ~$150,000.

Denison is where the elementary school is, I don't see taking away a traffic lit crossing from kids/parents its also where the streetcar stop is located, in both directions. Moving the stops, inclusive of any shelters etc. Another $40,000 or so ...

Not to mention you would make the distance without a light 427M from Augusta to Bathurst.

That doesn't seems supportable.

Considering the city seems perfectly ok to waste money by drowning the streets with unnecessary traffic lights often within spitting distance of one another, I don't see why they can't do the same here then too 🤣
