The design of the lower floors as highlighted by the red arrows below don't seem to match up unless they haven't actually installed that piece yet and it is just resting there waiting for installation? Regardless, it appears to have 'fake' windows unlike the renders which is all opaque.

It’s too bad that the north side didn’t have the same white cladding. It would have perfectly matched the Eaton Centre’s towers.

I think its actually the sewage pumping station that is being built just to east of Cherry Street and north of Lake Shore Blvd. Though I suspect they may use same area to stage for Gardiner rebuilt. Kind of appropriate as they could simply flush $$ down the new sewer!
