No Access Between Booth Ave and Lake Shore Boulevard: as early as June 2 for 6–8 weeks​


Beginning as early as June 2nd at 5 a.m. for approximately 6-8 weeks, the intersection of Lake Shore Boulevard and Booth Avenue will be closed. To get off Booth Avenue, use Eastern Avenue, or the laneways that connect to Logan Avenue, as shown on the map above. During this closure, we will be completing work such as building curbs, gutters and catch basins, as well as running electrical conduits and installing lighting.

I was just hoping I could get over to the bridge to take some pictures using Booth Avenue but it's completely fenced off for walking, not just cars.

I was surprised. Usually with work like this, there is some room to cut across the grass but it's quite torn up there.
 
Watching Cherry & Lake Shore go mad this weekend, but wondering- how many streets will we get pouring onto Lake Shore in the future? That’s a wide expanse between Cherry & Parliament, then there’s the idea that Queens Quay is going to slice across the silo lands and possibly meet up with Lake Shore as it dips south, no?

I guess at this point, it depends on who you ask and what rendering to look at.

I did see renderings ages ago from Waterfront Toronto but then the TTC has their own transit map for the Waterfront East LRT that showed QQ ending at a side street, and that side street connected to Lake Shore. I also saw another rendering (can't remember where) that showed QQ ending at Lake Shore like it was merging into it. I dunno anymore. I'm still looking for the latest info. **throws up hands**

There is clearly a sidewalk on the south side of the new bridge in your (excellent) photo. There will, I understand, be bike track (and maybe a sidewalk??) on north side to replace the old bridge link over the Don that was just north of the old Lake Shore Blvd bridge and the rail spur has been eliminated.

UT has just posted a News Story on the 3C Lakeshore, The Bend, resubmission and it has a street map that probably answers your question.
