Between this and the surrounding proposals, the amount of development coming to the GO Mimico area is amazing. A decade from now, it'll be an hour wait for a seat at the San Remo bakery at off-peak times.

Having photograph the area the last few years, this block offer a great site for a development and it was only time before it happen.

I found it strange that the south-east corner was being develop by someone else and surprise they didn't go after the whole block in the first place.

This is now the 4th project for the area, depending on what Metrolinx does with their land. Metrolinx most likely do what they have done at other stations is build expensive parking structure above ground than do underground with something above it that will generate more money and riders.

There has been a number of 3-4 story townhouse built on the south side of the station with a number currently under construction and more to come.

Are you referring to Mimico on the GO? What other proposals are nearby Mimico station?
 
Yes, On the GO Mimico, 39 Newcastle, and Grand Park Village. Slightly farther east, there's a proposal at 251 Manitoba as well. All of these will attract more riders to Mimico GO Station and put significant traffic strain on local streets… and jam up the already very busy and terrific San Remo bakery!

I'm just looking at the plans for the north side of the tracks here that will put significant pressure on that area. The Blue Goose proposal is not large enough, nor complicated by any other adjacent proposals, to be concerning to any great degree.
