They were doing a major parking level pour for tower 3 with 50% of the hole dug for the 4th tower.

South tower at floor 14 with 16 more floors to go if its the smallest one, if not 26 floor. North Tower at 23th floor with 37 floors to go if its the 60 floor, if not 49 floors.

The north tower will be the 2nd tallest in Mississauga by year end. The 72 story will become the 2nd tallest after M3 that will be top off in late 2024 until another 73s+ tower is built.

According to the renderings, the north tower is the smaller one. You can also see that unlike the south one it doesn’t have a concrete pump at the top.

From what I have seen in the past, the taller one starts first and then the short one so both can be top off together or close to it. Reading layout advertisements, the tall one is the north one and then and I question that. Based on the hole being dug now, it can be said this is the 72s site which would then say the tall one being built will be the 40s and the short at 60s. Seen a plan showing the layout, but what direction is it?

Never notice the sump pump for some odd reason, but have seen tall towers go up with out one.

Mississauga have a long way to go to surpass Montreal skyline.
Yeah, that's why he said in '20 years'. If the redevelopment plans they have for Square One come to pass in their entirety you'd be hard pressed to disagree.

They're planning a 37-tower mixed use development, which would be the largest single development project in Canadian history "6 times the size of The Well" in its entirety, with a potential supertall to top it off. And that doesn't including everything that has already been built nor the u/c M towers or any other u/c or planned peripheral projects south of Burnhamthorp or east of Hurontario.

One anecdote I can give: in 2016 I was on a flight from Edmonton to Toronto and as we were landing a man and his young son/nephew next to me were looking out the window at the Mississauga skyline and the man said "Look [insert child's name], we're over downtown Toronto... but, I can't find the CN Tower though?!"

Did dad not notice it was sitting in a sea of suburbia?

I get what you’re saying but north of st Clair is basically suburbia in Toronto and once you go out of the street car suburbs it isn’t much different than Mississauga or any other suburb. The other fun fact is that the majority of Toronto is actually suburbia while only a small fraction of it is urban.
